6-Day Tour of Morocco from Tangier



Day 1: Arrival in Tangier – Chefchaouen
On the first day of your 6-day tour of Morocco, you will be picked up at your accommodation, the airport, or the port in Tangier, known as “the bride of the north.” We will start exploring the beautiful city, visiting the Hercules Cave and Cape Spartel. After some free time for lunch, we will drive to Chefchaouen, passing through Tetouan and the Rif Mountains, with stops to enjoy panoramic views. Overnight stay in a hotel in Chefchaouen.
Day 2: Chefchaouen – Roman Ruins of Volubilis – Meknes – Fez
After breakfast, enjoy some free time in the charming streets of Chefchaouen. Then, we will travel to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site, where you can see mosaics and ancient arches. We will continue 30 km to Meknes, the Ismaili capital, to visit Bab Al-Mansour, the Sahrij Souani pond, the Royal Stables, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Finally, we will head to Fes, where we will spend the night in a riad.
Day 3: Guided Tour of Fes
We will pick you up from your accommodation in Fes after breakfast to explore the city, considered a cultural and religious center of Morocco. We will begin by visiting the Royal Palace gate and the well-preserved medina, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Entering through Bab Boujloud, we will visit the Bou Inania Madrasa, the Nejjarine Fountain, the tanneries, and the Al Qarawiyyin University, the oldest university in the world. Then, we will leave the medina to explore the Jewish Quarter, known as “the Mellah.” We will end the day with a panoramic view of the medina from an ancient fortress. Return to the riad for the night.
Day 4: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Merzouga
After breakfast, we will travel south, passing through Imouzzer to visit Ifrane, famous for its cool temperatures and alpine-style architecture. We will continue to the Cedar Forest, where you can see and feed Barbary macaques. After lunch in Midelt, we will proceed to Merzouga, crossing the Tizi-n-Tilghmt Pass and the Ziz Valley, with stops for panoramic views. Upon arriving at the Sahara Desert, we will switch to camels to cross the dunes and enjoy the sunset. We will spend the night in a camp, where you will enjoy Berber music around the campfire under a starry sky.
Day 5: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
We will wake up early to see the sunrise in the desert. After breakfast, we will visit Rissani, the ancient capital of Tafilalet, and its bustling market. Then, we will head to Erfoud to visit a fossil workshop before reaching the Todra Gorges, an impressive canyon ideal for climbing. You will have time to have lunch and explore the gorges before continuing to the Dades Valley, stopping at the rock formation known as “Monkey Fingers.” Overnight stay in a hotel.
Day 6: Dades Valley – Roses Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
After breakfast, we will head to Kalaa Magouna to visit the Valley of Roses, known for its annual festival. We will then pass through the Skoura Palms and visit the Amredhyle Kasbah. Upon arriving in Ouarzazate, we will explore the film studios and the Taourirt Kasbah. Afterward, we will visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its appearances in movies and series. After visiting the Telouet Kasbah, we will continue to Marrakech, crossing the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass in the High Atlas Mountains, with stops for lunch and photos along the way. Finally, we will drop you off at your accommodation in a riad in Marrakech. End of the tour.
