5-Day Tour of Morocco from Casablanca

Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca

Pick up at the airport, port, or accommodation in Casablanca, the economic capital of Morocco. Visit the Hassan II Mosque, the largest in the country and located next to the Atlantic Ocean. Free time for lunch and a stroll along the Casablanca Corniche. Overnight stay at a hotel.

Day 2: Casablanca – Roman Ruins of Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

Depart towards the Volubilis ruins, a well-preserved Roman city declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. Visit Meknes, the ancient imperial capital, where we explore Bab Al-Mansour, Sahrij Souani, the Royal Granaries, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Transfer to Fes. Overnight stay in a traditional riad.

Day 3: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert

Depart from Fes, passing through Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its alpine architecture. Stop at the Cedar Forest of Azrou to see wild monkeys. Lunch in Midelt before continuing through the Ziz Valley to reach the Merzouga Desert. Enjoy a camel ride to watch the sunset over the dunes before arriving at the luxury desert camp. Dinner, Berber music, and overnight stay under a starry sky.

Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

Wake up to a sunrise in the desert and return to Merzouga on camels. Visit Rissani, an ancient Berber trading center, and then Erfoud, famous for its fossils. Stop at the Todra Gorges, impressive red rock cliffs ideal for climbers. Lunch and continue towards the Dades Valley, with stops at the “Monkey Fingers” rock formation and the Dades Valley viewpoint. Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel.

Day 5: Dades Valley – Valley of Roses – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

Depart towards Kalaa Mgouna and the Valley of Roses, famous for its annual festival in May. Visit the film studios in Ouarzazate, where movies like Gladiator and The Mummy were filmed. Explore the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage fortified village. Cross the High Atlas via the Tizi-N-Tichka Pass, with stops for lunch and photos. Arrive in Marrakech and transfer to the airport or accommodation. End of the 5-day tour of Morocco.
